We were a little overwhelmed at the thought of building during a major health crisis. I had concerns that the building process might be too much for us with everything going on. Your performance proved otherwise. Everyone went above and beyond to accomodate our schedules or whatever was required.
Chelsea's assitance throughout the design/pick-out process was invaluable. The fact that Baumann had a designer on staff was a major selling point for us. Other builders did not offer design expertise on staff. Chelsea made the process fun and we had a great time bouncing ideas off each other. Having her part of the team made a world of difference.
Brad's on-site management and walking us through everything was great. He was always available to help answer a question or explain what was happening at the site. Brad did an exceptional job keeping us in the loop on the project. He worked with all the sub-contractors and delivered us the keys earlier than promised.
A special thank you to Mike, Ammie and Marci who assisted in so many ways! We could not have had the experience we had without you all. Every detail was covered, nothing was missed. By the way the kids love the playset!
So many others helped make our our home a truly special place. Our expectations were exceeded and then some. I would highly recommend Baumann Building to any perspective home builder. You helped make our dream a reality - thank you.

We are writing to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for the recent construction of our new home. When we originally designed and built our first home with you in Grand Haven in 2003, we didn't really know what we were gettin into. In retrospect, we saw that we were lucky to have such an incredible group of people working on our behalf. As we now know, twists and turns are bound to come up in the building process, but it's the integrity of the builder that determines the overall result of the experience. That is why we looked to you when we remodeled our basement, and then again when we bought the home in town to remodel. We trusted you with that task that was so important to us because we had seen first-hand the way you do business. We knew you would be easy to work with, honest, and fair. Once again, we were not disappointed in the least.
Chelsea really listened to what we wanted and consistently went out of her way to help us get the most value out of every single dollar. She helped us get the look and feel we wanted in an affordable way! She put in a lot of extra hours, and the results of her advice and hard work have won countless compliments from everyone who has seen the finished product!
Brad was constantly in contact to make sure things were being done well and on time. He gave us honest feedback and even made a number of suggestions we would have never thought of that really improved the livability of our home. He helped eliminate a lot of those " I wish we would have..." moments before they ever had a chance to occur.
Ammie worked magic with the financial aspect, patiently helping us survive a unique construction loan situation. She also jumped in to help out in any other area necessary when others weren't available. I knew if she said she would make sure something was taken care of, it was as good as done.
Mike and Marci, you orchestrated the process with an outstanding quality of character from beginning to end. Your faith clearly shows through in your commitment to do what is right and treat customers with respect and understanding. You always made us feel that we would be taken care of, and then followed through in your actions.
As glad as we were to move into our beautiful new home, we were a bit sad knowing that we wouldn't be in contact any more. We feel in a way that through the process we have gained not just a new home, but some great new friends. Let me start by saying that our family loves our new home. From the design to the finished product our new home is everything we wanted. After touring several homes from past parades the decision to build was exciting. The Baumann homes we toured stood our with great design and attention to detail. You and your team worked with us on the sale of our existing home and listened to our ideas for our new home. Our home sold in twelve days and the process of design and construction began. Through the process your entire team worked hard to make sure that plans were carried out to our expectations, timeframe and our budget.
Mike, you listened to our ideas from the start of the project.  Few can say that building an addition to their home would be a great experience. But Mike Baumann, along with supervisor Brad VanderZwaag, Eric, & the entire Baumann Team made it happen!!! Taking on a renovation project can be a daunting experience, but Mike's expertise & professional acumen made it seem easy. I bought my 1930"s home last year because of it's great character and the ability to expand. One of my main desires was that I wanted the addition to look like it had always been part of the home while protecting the integrity of the original house. " We loved our neighborhood and had no intentions of moving, even when our needs in a home had changed. After touring some of Mike's homes and talking with him personally, we decided that he was the right builder to assist us in transforming our existing home.
One of our concerns with remodeling was the effect it would have on our environment. Mike listened to our concerns and found the right subcontractors to meet our needs, including solar panels, geothermal heating and cooling, and reclaimed floors.
